Vietnam SharePoint User Group (VSPUG) is established to convene people locally in order to share tips, tricks, ideas and presentation on SharePoint products and technologies by organizing various ways from sharing materials, references, video to setting up offline meeting.

Everyone spreading various roles from developers, administrators to project managers, business-related end-user even those who want to know what SharePoint can benefit their business can join VSPUG, and then share how SharePoint is being used in organization, or think of what SharePoint helps business.

In the first event, we would like to bring the following topics to SharePoint Vietnam community as a greeting:

“What should I do to get started with SharePoint 2010?” is one of very common questions from various IT roles spreading from .NET developer, System administrator to Project Manager, Business-related End-User. To address this question, we will let you know how to approach SharePoint 2010 quickly by 5 easy steps targeting whether technical perspective or business perspective. The topic named “5 easy steps for End-User.Developer.ITPros to approach SharePoint 2010” presented by co-speakers Thuan Nguyen and Hai Nguyen is an open discussion.

As a project manager who is responsible for controlling SharePoint implementation, you may be first thinking how a SharePoint implementation fails, or which reasons that make a SharePoint project failed. Thinking about that will help you likely avoid threats of a project, also have a good plan for a SharePoint project. This topic named “Top 5 probable reasons that make SharePoint project in Vietnam failed” presented by Thuan Nguyen is an open discussion. He will share his viewpoints, experiences on this topic.

Have you considered getting Business Analyst involved in a SharePoint project? Is Business Analyst an important role in a SharePoint project? How do you think about translating technical language to business language which is one of tasks a Business Analyst has to do? Cài đặt SharePoint Server 2010 trên Windows Server 8 Beta – Phần 1

Microsoft vừa tung ra bản Windows Server 8 Beta (tên chính thức là Windows Server 2012) với rất nhiều tính năng mới. Là một quản trị viên SharePoint cũng như các công nghệ Microsoft liên quan như Windows Server và SQL Server. Trong loạt bài viết này, mình sẽ hướng dẫn các bạn cách cài đặt SharePoint 2010 trên Windows Server 8 và SQL Server 2012 để mọi người có thể trải nghiệm các tính năng mới trên Windows Server 8 và SQL Server 2012 trong khi chờ đời SharePoint 15 Beta sẽ được công bố vào quý 3 – 2012.

Bài viết chỉ với mục đích test, do đó bạn không nên thực hiện trên môi trường Production. Trước khi cài đặt, bạn cần download bản cài đặt sau:

Windows Server 8 Beta: Microsoft cung cấp cho bạn 2 phiên bản Windows Server 8 dành cho developer và quản trị viên.

Bạn có thể download từ MSDN/TechNet Subscription nếu có.

Tại trang Download Windows Server “8″ Beta, bạn có 2 sự lựa chọn: 64-bit ISO và VHD (English Only). Nếu bạn muốn cài đặt Windows Server 8 Beta từ đầu, có thể lựa chọn 64-bit ISO, sau đó cấu hình trên Hyper-V. Nếu bạn muốn nhanh chóng trải nghiệm Windows Server 8 Beta mà không cần cài đặt, bạn có thể download tập tin VHD. Sự lựa chọn thứ 2 giúp bạn tiết kiệm thời gian.

Bạn có thể download từ MSDN/TechNet Subscription nếu có.

SQL Server 2012: bạn có thể download tại đây (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en….aspx?id=29066) hoặc tại MSDN/TechNet Subscription nếu bạn có tài khoản.

Về phần cứng yêu cầu, bạn cần đảm bảo phần cứng phải đáp ứng tối thiểu các yêu cầu từ Microsoft.

Trong bài viết này, mình sử dụng Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter cài đặt Hyper-V đóng vai trò physical host. Phần 1 sẽ gồm 2 bước chính:

Cài đặt Windows Server 8 Beta
Cài đặt Active Directory Domain Services và tạo các tài khoản.

Mở Hyper-V Manager bằng cách click Start > Administrative Tools > Hyper-V Manager. Trên giao diện quản trị Hyper-V, click Action > New > Virtual Machine.

Tại trang Before You Begin, đọc lại các chú thích và click Next. Nếu bạn đã biết các thông tin này, có thể đánh dấu chọn Do now show this page again để bỏ qua.

Tại trang Specify Name and Location, nhập tên của máy ảo. Bạn có thể giữ mặc định và thay đổi sau. Chọn Store the virtual machine in a different location, click Browse và chọn disk volumn để lưu trữ máy ảo. Đảm bảo disk volumn đủ dung lượng.

Tại trang Assign Memory, lựa chọn Ram phù hợp. Với Windows Server 8 Beta, bạn có thể sử dụng 2GB RAM. Ngoài ra, bạn có thể tăng hoặc giảm RAM sau.

Tại trang Configure Networking, lựa chọn network adapter có trên server. Bạn có thể thay đổi thiết lập này sau.

Tại trang Connect Virtual Hard Disk, chọn Create a virtual hard disk và hoàn thành các thiết lập.

Tại trang Installation Options, chọn Install and operating from a boot CD/DVD-ROM và chọn source cài đặt Windows Server 8 Beta.

Tại trang Completing the New Virtual Machine Wizard, xem lại các thông tin về máy ảo bạn mới tạo. Bạn có thể thay đổi các thông số sau trên Hyper-V Manager. Tại Hyper-V Manager, r-click vào máy ảo và chọn Connect.

Một cửa sổ mới mở ra, click icon Start. Tại cửa sổ Windows Setup, chọn ngôn ngữ, thời gian và đơn vị tiền tệ.

Click Install Now.

Chọn Windows Server 8 Beta Datacenter (Server with a GUID). Bạn có thể lựa chọn kiểu cài đặt Server Core nếu bạn muốn học gõ lệnh.

Chọn I accept the license terms after reading carefully license terms of Microsoft. Tại trang Which type of installation do you want , chọn Custom: Install Windows only (advanced).

Tại trang Where do you want to install Windows?, chọn nơi lưu trữ..

Click Next và đợi cài đặt. Nhập password cho tài khoản Local Administrator accunt. Bạn có thể click biểu tượng con mắt để xem password. Đây là một tính năng mới trong Windows Server 8.

Sau khi đăng nhập, bạn có thể thay đổi tên máy tính. Tại Server Manager, click Configure this local server, click tên mặc định tại thiết lập Computer name.

Tại cửa sổ System Properties, click Change and thay đổi tên máy tính.
Bạn có thể thay đổi IP cho môi trường test này.

Cài đặt bản vá SharePoint 2010 February 20120 CU

Microsoft SharePoint Team đã đưa ra bản vá lỗi tháng 2 có tên February 2012 CU. Tùy vào trạng thái SharePoint farm của bạn mà xem xét có nên cập nhật bản vá lỗi hay không. Có nhiều ý kiến cho rằng nâng cấp bản vá lỗi mới nhất là điều cần phải làm để SharePoint không bị lỗi nhưng theo quan điểm cá nhân mình không hẳn là như vậy. Có rất nhiều nguyên nhân, điển hình chẳng hạn như:

Những ứng dụng đã lập trình có thể gặp lỗi khi bạn cập nhật các bản vá lỗi mới. Điều này đồng nghĩa với việc tốn nhiều thời gian downtime để fix lỗi.
Khi thực hiện việc cập nhật, rất khó để thực hiện roll-back khi cần thiết. Nhu cầu roll-back còn phụ thuộc vào nhiều yếu tố.

Bản Feb 2012 CU này có Build number là 14.0.6117.5002. Để theo dõi danh sách các lỗi được fix ở bản CU này xem tại: http://support.microsoft.com/default…;EN-US;2597150

Một số điểm lưu ý nhỏ khi thực hiện cài đặt bản vá lỗi:

Bạn nên cài đặt bản vá lỗi SharePoint Foundation trước khi thực hiện cài đặt bản vá SharePoint Server 2010. Vấn đề này vẫn luôn nóng khi có người cho rằng cài đặt bản vá SharePoint Server 2010 là đủ, không cần thiết cài đặt SharePoint Foundation. Tuy nhiên Microsoft khuyến cáo nên cài đặt bản vá SharePoint Foundation.
Trong quá trình cài đặt, xem xét giữa việc tiếp tục chạy các service, application hoặc tạm ngưng.

Sử dụng Psconfig sau khi hoàn tất cài đặt bản vá lỗi.

Tương tác SharePoint 2010 với ứng dụng Microsoft Document Connect trên hệ điều hành MAC OS

SharePoint 2010 cung cấp một nền tảng cộng tác mạnh mẽ và linh hoạt hơn so với các phiên bản trước đó. Với SharePoint 2010, người dùng có thể kết nối đến nơi làm việc thông qua các thiết bị máy tính cá nhân, điện thoại di động, máy tính bảng một cách nhanh chóng. Bên cạnh đó, với ứng dụng Microsoft SharePoint Workspace cho phép người dùng làm việc trên các thư viện tài liệu, văn bản ngay cả khi ở trạng thái offline. Tuy nhiên, Microsoft SharePoint Workspace chỉ chạy trên các máy tính đã cài đặt phiên bản Microsoft Office 2010 Professional dành cho hệ điều hành Windows. Gói ngôn ngữ tiếng Việt cho SharePoint 2010

Microsoft vừa phát hành gói ngôn ngữ tiếng Việt cho 2 phiên bản SharePoint 2010.

Các gói ngôn ngữ cho phép việc tạo các site và site collection ở nhiều ngôn ngữ mà không yêu cầu các bản cài đặt riêng lẻ của SharePoint Server 2010, Project Server 2010, Search Server 2010 và Office Web Apps 2010. Có thể cài đặt nhiều gói ngôn ngữ trên cùng một hệ phục vụ. Ứng dụng của Gói Ngôn ngữ sẽ không thay đổi ngôn ngữ của sản phẩm hệ phục vụ của Microsoft đã được cài đặt hoặc ngôn ngữ của các tính năng quản trị.

Responsibilities
